Observation date: 10/9/08 (from 2pm til 5pm)
Notes: Little Sheepshead Creek: LT: 10:50am, HT: 4:36pm & Shooting Thorofare: LT: 10:28am, HT: 4:22pm

Black-bellied Plover - 507
10 out of a group of 55 I could see/ID as juvy, the rest too far, bad
lighting, hidden in marsh grass. 2 groups (1 250**, the other 200**) out in
the marshes off Little Sheepshead Creek were being chased from ground into
flight by a N. Harrier, I watched this go on for 10min.
American Oystercatcher - 25
AO's in flight over Shooting Thorofare looking towards LBI.
Greater Yellowlegs - 11
Too far to age.
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 20
Group of 12 roosting were all juvy's. Group of 8 was flying & couldn't age.
Short-billed Dowitcher - 1
The 1 SBD was amongst the group of 55 BBP & 12 SPS juvy's. Couldn't age the
SBD.
